Illustration

Apart from straight visualization of complete projects one main focus in 3D design is on the design of individual elements and templates which can subsequently be used for a great variety of applications.
Depending on their field of usage, 3D elements can significantly enhance the attractiveness as well as functionality of layouts and graphical user interfaces (i.e. for web site navigation).

Sample Projects

:: Web Site of an architecture firm ::
www.bauplan-berlin.de - 1997/1998
Here the 3D objects serve almost exclusively as illustration and visual presentation of the corporate profile. The used graphics have their roots in various visualization projects (see Portfolio)
Sample Bauplan
Sample Navigation :: bachert.cx :: 1999
The previous design of this web site. The complete layout was realized in 3D. The different elements response visually on user input and simplify navigation by providing meaningful feedback.

:: Mysterious Sosaria Project ::
www.surfing.net/ultima - 1996-1999
For this web site I created an extensive collection of individual graphics dealing with the Ultima topic. It featured about 100 different weapon and armour systems as well as 3D views for many of the game world's locations. This project was subjected to several changes and took more than 3 years for final completion.
